Dorm Weather Protection

Dorm Weather Protection

The Dorm A & B Enclosures project pushed North Scaffold to new heights by introducing an innovative solution to a problem we have yet to see solved by a traditional scaffold structure. This structure was to be built to protect dormitories for employees of the company. The dorms are used all year and remain in place during the heavy winter snowfall. Due to the nature of the use of these dorms, they will only remain in one location for a temporary amount of time before they are moved to another site. This prompted the customer to think how they could build a protective structure without it being deemed useless when the dorms are moved to the next location. Traditionally, a wood or steel structure would be built, which would have to be torn down at the end of its usable lifespan. This is a waste of money and material and has a much bigger impact on the environment. North’s solution solved all of these problems, our Diamond Beam™ Roof System is strong, durable, easy to assemble, and best of all it can be moved time after time with zero waste.
